Welcome to hittingthenuts.com!
Welcome to the official website for the independent feature film, HITTING THE NUTS - THE TRUE STORY OF THE 2008 SCOTT COUNTY SERIES OF POKER. We are glad that you have found your way here.
Hitting the Nuts is being produced by Rebel Pilgrim Productions in association with That’s Hollywood Productions. Last year, Rebel Pilgrim produced the multi-award winning short film, Happily After Forever. That’s Hollywood has most recently produced two feature films entitled Candy Stripers and Desert of Blood.
Currently, That’s Hollywood is producing a comedic feature film entitled Ye Olde Times starring Jack Black, John C. Reilly, Will Arnett, Cary Elwes and David Arquette.
Hitting the Nuts is an improvised “mockumentary” surrounding the events of an annual poker tournamanet in rural Indiana. The film is scheduled to shoot in summer of 2008, anticipating an early 2009 theatrical release. We are currently in negotiations with several talented comedic actors and actresses and will post updates as people commit to the project.
Tournament Poker has taken popular culture by storm over the last five years. HITTING THE NUTS is poised to become the DEFINITIVE COMEDIC SATIRE of the poker phenomenon. This project strives to do for poker what Caddy Shack did for golf, Major League for baseball, and Strange Brew for hockey.
