"Even Professional Poker has a Farm System"Company
Hitting the Nuts – The Movie, LLC is a Nevada limited liability company formed for the purpose of financing, producing, owning and distributing and otherwise exploiting a proposed feature film called either Hitting the Nuts or The Nuts (“Project” or “Film”). The film is a fictional story of an annual illegal poker championship in Scott County, Indiana. When a poker player “hits the nuts” it means that he is holding the best hand possible in a given scenario…that he is a sure winner. The story only pretends to be about poker. It’s really about an outrageous group of blue-blooded American misfits who take their hobby (and their lives) a little too seriously. It is the characters of the film who really are “the nuts.”
The film will be produced in association with Rebel Pilgrim Productions, LLC, an independent film production company based in Nevada (“Rebel Pilgrim”). The managers of the Company, James E. Nyberg and Phillip J. Boyd, are principals in Rebel Pilgrim. Rebel Pilgrim previously produced an award winning short film entitled Happily After Forever. Happily After Forever won a best romantic drama award (International Film and Video Festival – New York City 2005), a best actress award (Barbara Ann Rollins - International Film and Video Festival – New York City 2005) and an audience award (Dam Short Film Festival – Boulder City, Nevada 2006). Rebel Pilgrim produced the feature documentary film The Road to Emmaus, PA in association with Launchingpad Productions in 2008. Emmaus signed an international DVD distribution deal with Echelon Studios in Los Angeles in 2009.
